The year of 30!

I turned 30 yesterday. In my mind I am officially an adult. In your 30's your a grown up and real life happens. Real life has been happening for me for a while now. 6/12 years of marriage, 2 kids and 1 house. I am happy with where I am now. I sometimes still feel like I am 17 inside. My grandma told me that once and I as looked at her aged face I could see the youth in her eyes. The eyes are the window to your soul and are forever youthful, too bad the crows feet are not.

Summer in Vermont

Hello from Burlington, Vermont! Jeremy is here working a 45 day detail and we are along for the ride. We are staying in a 1 bedroom suite with a full kitchen and living room, so hotel life isn't to cramped. We just spent the long weekend in Massachusetts at my cousin Aaron's house. He has a cute little family with a 4 year old little boy. Logan and Hunter had a blast and played sooooo hard. It was good for them.

We have only been here a week but am hopeful to see the sights while we are here. We haven't hit Ben & Jerry's yet, but it is on the schedule. It is very beautiful here and so green. I am loving all the trees, but not the bugs. I will keep you posted on our adventures. Take care.

Sick Bay

For two days I did nothing but literally hold my little boy sick with the flu. The first 10 hours was throwing up every 20 minutes (I dirtied almost every towel, blanket and sheet in the house and 7 shirts), then came the fever and diarrhea. His fever finally broke this morning and he started eating solid food tonight. I haven't had a child that sick before, not okay. It is such a relief to have him perk back up and slowly become his old self. Logan was a big help, watching lots of T.V. and mostly staying out of trouble. I am looking forward to the weekend. I have finished washing all the dirty laundry on the sanitary cycle on my washer. Now I just need to shampoo my carpets and I'll be good. I am grateful for good health.

So it begins...

I am entering a new world. Expressing myself online for all who want to see. I am not sure how comfortable I am with this, but what the heck, I'll give it a try. My real inspiration for starting a blog is my friend Zoe. I wanted to leave a message on hers and the only way I could figure to do that was to sign up for my own. So hello to Zoe and anyone else who stumbles across my little messages.
